    Re: Flight Simulator Rudder pedals

    Hi RobC

A fellow flight simmer I see and welcome to the rabbit hole (I've not found the bottom yet :) ).

For the electronic side of things I would look at hall sensors and if you want an easy...

    Hi all,

This project took way too long, but got there in the end. Some pretty sloppy playing at the end of the video also, purely to get around copyright issues you understand ;)

  4. Re: Starting do design out my build, looking for critique

    Hi Chrono

No broken etiquette as far as I know. You're probably doing a great job and nobody has much more to add ;)

A few comments I would have from your last set of design drawings are:

  5. Re: Starting do design out my build, looking for critique

    Hi Chrono

Andy beat me to many bits of good advice, but I'll add:

Whilst some of the details are missing the green plate method, provided the plates are thick enough should be a good approach,...

Re: School me on the best machine for big hardwood

I don't have any drop/carve tops yet, but do have the design run up for an RG/Super Strat custom design with a carve which I'll be cutting, once I have finally finished my AS Tele project. The...

Re: School me on the best machine for big hardwood

    Hi bluesking

I can see why you want to go for larger cutters and for roughing I would agree, however there is another factor to maybe consider dependant on the guitar design/type you are looking...

Re: School me on the best machine for big hardwood

    Hi bluesking

I also machine guitars on my CNC machine (check my signature for my channel). I normally machine around the 3000mm/min mark using 4 to 10mm cutters dependant on operation and strategy...

Re: 25 year break. The Internet changed things!

    Welcome BBB

First advice I would give is be realistic and honest with yourself about what you will use the machine for i.e. a router if designed carefully will be good for wood, plastics and...

    Re: Painting pine

    Hi dfox1987

I would recommend sealing the wood first with a clear varnish, then apply your colour coat then sand back, if I'm understanding what you're trying to do.

    Hope that helps.

Re: Speeds and feeds for 6082 T6 alloy

    Hi Dean

A lot will depend on your machine type, rigidity etc. but:

I use 6082 for almost all my projects and use a 6mm 3 flute serrated carbide rougher when clearing lots of material and when...
  14. Re: Small CNC for guitar inlay work - general thoughts

    Hi and welcome.

    I'll add some thoughts:

If you are "only" looking to cut inlays (and I assume the corresponding pockets) then you don't need a massive machine for this kind of work and this may...
