    the drawing doesn't really represent the action, but that's where it is.

    You cannot adjust the ball screw bearings, they are what they are.

    When you have an angular contact bearing in your hand the middle wobbles back and forth.

    So what your almost doing when you have a pair is pulling the middles together to get rid of that play.
