Re: 5 axis breakout board and UC400eth query

    The UC400ETh requires a 12V-24V supply, not a 5V supply.

    Re: Tb6600?

No, there's no problem using just one power supply. A single power supply is preferable, imo.

Higher voltage gives you more speed, not more torque.
your machine will be twice as fast with 50V...

Re: Machine momentarily halts on each cut pass?

Open Windows Task Manager and monitor CPU usage while it's running.
See if the CPU usage spikes when the machine hesitates.

    No such program exists.

While there are plenty of programs that convert the various shades of gray to different heights, this really doesn't work well with normal photos or drawings.

    Have you...

Re: Carbide CNC bits cutting life?

If it's burning, then RPM is too high, or feedrate is too low. Either causes excess heat, which dulls tools faster.
I'd make 2 passes at 6mm per pass, too.

Because 2D drawings and 2.5D CAM can be far faster, if you know what you are doing. 99% of what I do on my router are done with 2D CAD, where I can draw and create toolpaths faster than just creating...

Re: UC CNC software 300eth and UB1

As UCCNC is constantly adding new features, my screenset may not support all...

    Re: Controller advice

I forgot to mention that you can use that combination with Mach3, and there's also a Mach4 plugin being developed as well.
So you have 3 control software options available with the UC300ETH-UB1.

    Re: Controller advice

$320 includes the UC300ETH. The UB1 itself is $180. Yes, you can use an MB2, but it would require a 5LPT motherboard for the UC300ETH, which adds $40, and makes it the same price.

    The UB1 +...
