Absolutely, my point was not to advise a change.
I was only pointing out that there is more to it than just resolution, and you need to also consider the critical speed on the screw. -

its not just the speed of the motors, its also the critical speed of the ballscrew.
a 25mm diameter ballscrew that is 2000mm long and using a rotating nut has a critical speed of about 1400 RPM.... -

RS232 is only used to set up the kinco ac servo driver using the kinco servo software, it has nothing to do with cnc.

If you remove the rotor from a stepper motor it will demagnetise very quickly and then when you re assemble, it will not have the rated torque that it had before you stripped it down.

Its a nema 23, looks to be about 70-80mm long so will be between 1.8 and 2Nm.
Its 4 wire, so check the driver to see what the current is set to and then you will be quite close. -

The AM is discontinued by us and we have one left in stock.
The EM range replaces the AM range and has basically the same features but is a better driver. -

The order they come out makes no difference, use the wire colors as in the datasheet and you will have no problems.
